Inauguration of a Community Catering Facility for Women in Laléraba (Côte d’Ivoire) and Niangoloko (Burkina Faso)

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, Scanning Systems officially handed over a community catering facility to women from Laléraba (Côte d’Ivoire) and Niangoloko (Burkina Faso) during a ceremony held on July 9, 2026.

Built with an investment of CFA Francs 27 million, the 140-square-meter facility, located near the Laléraba One-Stop Border Post (OSBP), features three fully equipped catering units designed to support income-generating activities for local women.

Beyond promoting women’s economic empowerment, this initiative is expected to enhance the quality of services available to travelers while stimulating local economic activity on both sides of the border. To help ensure a successful start-up, Scanning Systems also provided seed funding to the managers of the three catering units.

The handover ceremony brought together administrative authorities and community representatives from both countries, including:

  • Mr. COULIBALY N’golo Idrissa, Sub-Prefect of Kaouara;
  • Mr. SIRIMA Marayma Alphonse, First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Municipality of Niangoloko;
  • Traditional community leaders and land custodians.

The officials in attendance unanimously praised the initiative, highlighting its contribution to strengthening solidarity, social cohesion, and cross-border cooperation between the communities of Laléraba and Niangoloko.

Through this high-impact social investment, Scanning Systems reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of neighboring communities and fostering the harmonious integration of border regions in a spirit of fraternity, peace, and sustainable cooperation between the people of Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
