BANJUL PORT AND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, THE GAMBIA

Through its sister company “Scanning Systems Company Gambia Ltd.”, Scanning Systems is performing a public service concession contract, under the BOT model, signed with the Gambian Government in 2004 for the purchase, installation and operationalization of high intensity scanners at the Banjul Port and International Airport. The company was responsible for the financing, purchase and installation of the scanning equipments and continues to ensure the effective execution of the contract by operating and maintening it the equipments and training the administration staff.

  • In 2004: Design of the project for financing the installation, operation and maintenance of scanning equipment at Banjul Port and Airport, under the terms of the Concession Agreement concluded with the Gambian Government.

  • In 2015: Transfer of ownership of the equipment and facilities to the Gambian government.

  • In 2016: New agreement with the Gambian government, giving Scanning Systems full management responsibility for the scanning equipment.
