Tuesday February 20, 2024 saw the symbolic handover of the keys to the Laléraba JBPs to the two border states (Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso). The symbolic handover was performed by the WAEMU Resident Representative in Abidjan, Mr Gustave DIASSO, in the presence of the Prefect of Ouangolo, Mr Dongo KOBENAN, the Sub-Prefect of Kaouara, Mr N’golo COULIBALY, and members of Scanning Systems, including :
- Mr Albert MANE, Representative-Resident of Burkina Faso
- Mr Barthélémy YAO, Technical Director
- Mr Jonas LAGO, Public Relations Adviser
- Mr Judicaël GNANGBE, Director of PCJ Laléraba
Delegations from the administrations of the two countries were led by :
- Côte D’ivoire by OFT Secretary General Abdoulaye TOURE
- Burkina Faso by Mr. Naba KOLGRE, representing the Ministry of Transport
The administrations present all expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
This symbolic handover of the keys marks the start of a 45-day period during which the administrations will gradually settle in and carry out tests to put the infrastructure through its paces, before the actual inauguration and official commissioning of the JBPs.
